Open Architecture Optimization Software

Optimization Software – Open Architecture For Real-Time Optimization

Neundorfer utilizes a sophisticated optimization software tool to support our customers in pursuing realistic, cost-effective efficiency gains. We have over 45 years of experience helping industrial companies improve processes and reduce emissions. We understand the need for a cost-effective digital solution, the need to build expertise within our customer organizations, and the importance of integrating best practices into software solutions to ensure an adaptable, sustainable implementation. Our small company size and US-based programming get you sophisticated tools within economic reach.

Learning Models & Optimizers

Our processes platform can be used to deploy off-line big data applications and real-time monitoring and closed-loop control applications.

The power of the tool is that it uses multiple models in parallel. The models continually retrain themselves as new data is collected. Sophisticated neural net type training algorithms continually analyze incoming patterns of data, and through the use of optimizers that interrogate models, they find improved combinations of bias to optimize the targeted process. Models are used in any combination for single or multiple process improvement goals.

Your Control Remains In Control

Our tools augment your current control systems and expert systems. The software analyzes incoming patterns of data to find improved combinations to fine-tune control curves and response. Existing control systems remain the primary control and constraints remain in place, including, hard limits, calculated limits, data limits, ramp rates, etc. This results in fewer burdens for operators and engineers to learn a new system.

The software is applied to the existing control (DCS) and data historian/plant information systems. It supports multiple data links and types to connect to these sources of information (e.g. Modbus, OPC).

Knowledge Base Builder

Our wide range of tools, logic, models, and optimizers capture operators’ knowledge as it learns their best work and incorporates this into solutions. This allows operators to leverage each other’s individual strengths while collectively achieving a broader system optimization goal.

Open Architecture = User Flexibility

The uniqueness of the software is its open architecture structure. Once configured, the end-user has the ability to modify and apply to other processes without having to buy expensive maintenance programs.

Paper Company: Optimizing Gas Flow Distribution

A paper company in Wisconsin was contemplating expensive precipitator modifications to reduce emission levels. Through modeling we discovered the same result could be achieved for much, much less by making relatively simple gas flow distribution chan ...
